restore a more youthful look!

If you’ve noticed that your lines and wrinkles are quite deep or sunken cheeks are making your face look tired, dermal fillers could help to restore a more youthful look.

Dermal Fillers are used to treat a range of skin concerns, including lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds, such as smile, marionette and lipstick lines and those on the corners of the mouth, chin, neck, décolletage and hands.

The use of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers is a completely safe treatment.  Once injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle, it lifts and adds volume to the areas being treated.  The hyaluronic acid dermal filler simply supplements the body's age-depleted skin to plump up the lip to raise the skin and fill in the particular wrinkle being treated.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Dermal Fillers treatment involves injecting a medically developed solution under the skin with a fine needle to enhance facial features and plump and fill lines, grooves or sunken areas.

Dermal Fillers are used to treat a range of skin concerns, including lack of volume and shallow to deep wrinkles and folds, such as smile, marionette and lipstick lines and those on the corners of the mouth, chin, neck, décolletage and hands.

Dermal Fillers can subtly smooth, soften, contour and tone the skin; restore youthful plumpness, enhance and define your features.

Is it safe?

Dermal Fillers have been widely used for cosmetic purposes for over a decade, and has been enthusiastically endorsed by those who have used it.  The effects of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are completely safe and reversible.

What wrinkles can be treated?

The most commonly treated areas are the nasolabial folds which run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, lip enhancement and reduction of lines around the mouth.

How long will treatment take?

The procedure is very quick and performed while you are sitting in the treatment room.  It usually takes less than 30 minutes to administer the dermal filler.

Does it hurt?

Individuals vary in their response.  Some people require no anaesthetic for their treatment while others request a topical anaesthetic (cream).  It is also possible to administer a local anaesthetic so that the treatment can be completely pain free. This will be discussed at your initial consultation appointment.

Are there any side effects?

Temporary bruising is the most common side effect.  In some cases there may be mild swelling, redness, itchiness, discolouration and tenderness at the site.  They typically resolve 1-2 days after injection into the skin and within a week after injection into the lips.  Makeup can be used to hide this. Other side effects are very rare.

How long do Dermal Fillers last?

The effects of Dermal Fillers gradually fade, but will last on average between 4-12 months, depending on the treatment area.

When you start to notice the effects of your fillers wear-off you can come back to your local clinic for a top-up treatment. Should you choose not to continue with dermal fillers the gel will biodegrade in the skin and simply disappear.
